Getting into the ACT

Starting in February, the ACT will add writing tests to its college-entrance exams. And unlike the current test, which has only one correct answer per question, scores on the writing exams will depend on such subjective measures as voice, style, flow — and whether language is "competent," "adequate" or "under control."
