CPA exam delayed in Maryland

A legal technicality has required the review and approval of a new contract that will enable the Maryland State Board to register candidates for the new computerized exam. If the contract is approved as expected on April 28, 2004 candidates should be able to begin testing on or about May 3. For more information, go to:

  Sarbanes to speak at Towson

Sen. Paul Sarbanes will speak at Towson University at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 26. The topic will be "Civic Engagement: Why Your Participation Matters." A reception will precede Sen. Sarbanes' speech at 7 p.m. The event is sponsored by Towson U's College of Liberal Arts and the College of Graduate Education and Research — so you can find out more about the school's accounting master's program as well.
