Personal finance: Double whammy
For consumers who pay off their credit-card balances each month, shop aggressively for low interest rates and take advantage of generous credit-card rewards programs, consumer credit has never been cheaper. But for others, the trend is in the other direction. www.wsjclassroomedition.com/archive/

Congratulations ...

CPA exam update
The following are highlights from the latest AICPA report on the computerized CPA exam.
- Some candidates continue to have difficulty with the copy-and-paste feature in the simulations. Revised copy / paste instructions and new screens will be posted on the exam Web site, www.cpa-exam.org.
- A number of candidates were not allowed to test or started their exam late because they failed to bring their NTS to the test center. Candidates must bring their NTS and the proper identification to the test site.
- Pass rates for each section of the exam from April / May 2004 through July / August 2004 are in the 44 percent range for all sections of the exam.
