National CPA Commission urges Department of Treasury to increase financial literacy awareness

The AICPA has asked the Financial Literacy and Education Commission (FLEC) of the Department of Treasury to create a national message focused on increasing public awareness of the need for financial literacy and of the one primary way to remedy it: education. It also emphasized the role CPAs can play in helping to improve the financial understanding of Americans.
