Volunteer tax preparers needed

The Montgomery County Child Care Resource and Referral Center provides low-income families with information about the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and helps them file their taxes to receive the credit. The project relies on volunteers to assist families with this program, which runs from Jan. 18 to April 15. Volunteer tax preparers will receive free intensive training on Jan. 10 and 12. Accounting experience is not necessary, but you must have tax preparation experience. Bilingual preparers and greeters are especially needed. Contact Sue Carpio at (301) 279-1035 for more information.
