  • DeLeon & Stang — Interns and staff accountants: This Gaithersburg-based, fast-growing CPA firm is looking for interns and staff accountants. Intern accountants are given a wide variety of bookkeeping or basic tax and accounting tasks utilizing clients’ records. Staff Accountants are responsible for organizing and coordinating clients' data and are given a wide variety of diversified auditing, accounting and tax assignments.   • Medstar Research Institute summer intern (full time, paid): Responsible for supporting a wide range of finance functions related to billing, accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, management reporting, system conversion and external audit. You will create, route, submit and monitor CRVs; input journal entries; distribute income and expense reports and cost reports; create invoices and collect accounts receivable; help maintain responsiveness to external audit requirements; and assist in budget preparations and maintenance.   • The Women’s Housing Coalition — accounting intern (volunteer): This Baltimore-based, non-profit organization provides housing and support services to homeless women and children. This is a great opportunity for a student looking for accounting experience in the non-corporate sector and to interact with local government agencies. Must be proficient in Excel and willing to learn Quikbooks. You will provide general accounting support to the organization’s accountant and be involved in the billing process. The internship is 16 hours per week and is available immediately. Must have own transportation and a valid Maryland driver’s license.   • Accountemps — entry-level staff accountant: Our client, a growing health care company in Hunt Valley, is seeking an entry-level staff accountant. A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required. No experience is necessary. Strong Excel knowledge a must.     Did you take the exam in January or February?

    The Board of Public Accountancy will receive the examination scores for candidates who took sections of the Uniform CPA Examination in January and February 2005 on or about April 1. The examination scores are being reported by the AICPA and NASBA to the Board on a candidate-by-candidate basis and by examination section.
